MOUSE & RAT CONTROL IN ST. LOUIS

Mouse and rat control is stopping rodents outside before they get in, then tracking what is left inside. In St. Louis, mice push indoors hard every fall. Our Rodent Guard program uses locked bait stations outside and monitors inside, checked every quarter, from $85 a quarter on its own or from $49 a month bundled with Home Shield.

KNOW YOUR ENEMY

Rodents we see in St. Louis.

Knowing which one you have changes where we put stations.

KITCHENS

House mice

Small and gray. They squeeze through a gap the size of a dime and breed fast.

FALL

Deer & field mice

Brown with white bellies. They move in from fields and woods when it gets cold.

BASEMENTS

Norway rats

Big and heavy. They burrow along foundations and come in low, near sewers and basements.

ATTICS

Roof rats

Smaller, sleeker climbers. They travel along trees, fences and utility lines into attics.

WARNING SIGNS

Signs you have mice or rats.

  • Droppings in drawers, pantries or under sinks
  • Scratching in walls or ceilings at night
  • Chewed food packaging or gnawed wires
  • Greasy rub marks along walls
  • Nests of shredded paper or insulation

Mouse droppings are about the size of a grain of rice. Rat droppings are closer to a raisin.

WHY SPRAY FAILS

Why traps alone don't fix it.

Store-bought spray

  • Catches one mouse, not the ones still coming in
  • Poison indoors can leave dead mice in your walls
  • Doesn't touch the gaps they use
  • Starts over every fall

Zero Pest

  • Locked stations outside stop them before they get in
  • Monitors inside show where they travel
  • Entry points checked and small gaps handled
  • Checked and refilled every quarter
HOW WE TREAT IT

Our rodent treatment, step by step.

  1. Inspect

We find droppings, runways and the gaps they use to get in.

  2. Set up stations

Locked, tamper-resistant bait stations go outside where rodents travel.

  3. Monitor inside

Monitors in the basement, garage and low-traffic areas, never where kids play.

  4. Check every quarter

We check, refill and track activity so we know where the pressure is coming from.

  5. Come back

FAQ

Mouse & rat questions.

How long until the mice are gone?
Most homes see activity drop within the first few weeks as the stations start working. The monitors tell us how it is trending at every visit.
Why do mice come in every fall?
When it gets cold, mice move from fields, woods and yards toward warm buildings. Stations outside catch them on the way in.
Is the bait dangerous for my pets?
Stations are locked, tamper-resistant and placed out of reach. We adjust placement for cats, dogs and toddlers.
How much is mouse control in St. Louis?
Rodent Guard starts at $85 a quarter on its own, or from $49 a month bundled with Home Shield. The first visit starts at $195.
Do you seal entry points?
We inspect for entry points and handle minor gaps during service. Full exclusion work is not our specialty, and the station program is the long-term fix.
